Judy Lainhart says the beauty of aging is you finally do accumulate some wisdom. When her husband of 22 years recently divorced her, Judy was forced to sell her home and move into an assisted living retirement community. We talked to her in a room filled with memories – a photograph of a costume she designed years ago for the dancer Bella Lewitsky, family photos, artwork from her travels around the world. We see her roaming the halls with her walker – smiling and greeting people as she goes. Despite the losses she’s suffered, Judy says she wants to start volunteering, so she can get back to being the person she knows herself to be.
